2nd Int’l Documentary Film Festival "RT. Doc: Time of Our Heroes" begins in Dhaka

The Russian House in Dhaka, in collaboration with the RT Documentary TV channel, organised the second day of the International Documentary Film Festival "RT. Doc: Time of Our Heroes" at the State University of Bangladesh on Wednesday.

The event, which brings together documentary filmmakers and audiences, attracted significant interest from students, teachers, and journalists.

P. Dvoychenkov, Director of the Russian House in Dhaka, stated, “The festival not only introduces viewers to important social and historical topics but also inspires young filmmakers to create their own works. We are pleased to see such a strong interest in Russian culture and art.”

Special guest Ekaterina Shubnaya, Editor of RT. Doc held a master class on documentary filmmaking for students of the university's journalism and media communications departments.

She also introduced the new RT project, the artel.doc portal, which features over 500 documentaries in multiple languages.

The films shown on the second day of the festival included "Donbass: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow" (Tatyana Borsch), "Donbass. Echoes of War" (Ekaterina Kitaytseva, Dmitry Khrustalyov), "We Are Russia!" (Ekaterina Kozhakina, Dmitry Khrustalyov, Anton Meshcheryakov), and "Donbass Volunteers United Strength" (Ekaterina Kitaytseva, Ruslan Gusarov). Following the screenings, a lively discussion allowed viewers to ask questions and engage with the filmmakers.

The event concluded with the presentation of certificates to the participants of the master class.
