A press conference was held Tuesday at the Russian House in the capital for the International Documentary Film Festival "RT.Doc: Time of Our Heroes."

The festival is being prepared by Russia’s state-run Russia Today (RT) Documentary TV channel.

The editor of RT Documentary Ekaterina Shubnaya stressed that this event is dedicated to the heroes who are fighting in Ukraine’s Donbas for the right of Russians to preserve their national identity, the heroes who provide medical care, help to establish a peaceful life in the liberated territories, as well as the heroes who convey the word of truth to the world community.

The festival not only demonstrates the power of documentary filmmaking but also promotes understanding and discussion of current topics among international audiences. This is an important step towards a deeper understanding of social and political processes.

This event has become an important platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge, which contributes to improving the quality of journalism and documentary. Media workers had a unique opportunity to learn about RT's documentary projects, which inspire and expand horizons.
