17th Bangladesh Denim Expo kicks off at ICCB Monday

The 17th edition of the Bangladesh Denim Expo is set to begin Monday at the International Convention City, Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka.
This year’s expo brings together over 45 exhibitors from seven countries, including Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, China, Turkey, Spain, and Italy. As the denim industry undergoes significant transformation, these exhibitors are at the forefront of its evolution.
The expo also aims to unite manufacturers, suppliers, buyers, and designers from all over the world to explore the latest trends and innovations in denim production.
Founder and CEO of Bangladesh Denim Expo Mostafiz Uddin remarked: “Discover the future of your business at the Bangladesh Denim Expo. With the theme “The Blue New World,” the two-day event will feature panel discussions, trend seminars, trend zone, and exhibitions. “The Blue New World” lies in a new start, embodying eco-friendly practices, responsible fashion, innovations, and trustworthy sourcing destinations, said the organisers.
The event will address key questions surrounding Bangladesh’s textile industry: What challenges does it face? Why is it currently struggling? What opportunities exist, and who stands to benefit?
Participant categories include Fabric Mills, Denim and Non-Denim, Garment Manufacturers, Washing Laundry, Accessories and Trims, Chemicals, Machinery or Technology, and Logistics.
The expo serves as a hub for networking, business opportunities, and knowledge sharing. It features exhibitions, seminars, and workshops that cover various aspects of the denim industry, such as sustainability, technology, and design.
Four panel discussions are scheduled for the two-day event. Global experts will share their knowledge and perspectives on critical topics concerning the ready-made garments (RMG) industry in Bangladesh.
The discussions will cover issues like - Securing Bangladesh RMG Industry: How Do We Confront Challenges, Resiliently; What Steps Bangladesh Must Take to Lead the Global Apparel Industry by 2030?; Shaping RMG Sector in the Future: GSP+ and LDC Transition, Panel Discussion and Unpacking Buyer Opportunities in Bangladesh RMG Industry: Tapping True Growth Potential.
