PSC gets five more members
The number of members rose to nine with the fresh appointments

The interim government has appointed five individuals as the new members of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC).
As per Article 138 (1) of the constitution, the members have been appointed by the order of the president, read a gazette notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday.
They would hold the post for five years from their dates of assuming office or till they attain the age of 65 years – whichever happens earlier, the ministry said.
The number of PSC members rose to nine with the fresh appointments of Brig Gen (retd) Md Jalal Uddin, ASM Golam Hafiz, Md Jahirul Islam Bhuiyan, Chowdhury Sayma Ferdous, and M Sohel Rahman.
The then PSC chairman Md Sohorab Hossain and 12 members resigned from their posts on 8 October.
Following the resignations, the government appointed Prof Mobasser Monem as the chairman of the PSC, and four other members.
