Bashundhara Shuvosangho distributed vegetable seeds among helpless poor women in Galachipa upazila of Patuakhali on Thursday.

The organisation’s Galachipa unit handed out those to some 43 women at a programme held on the premises of Ratandi Government Primary School at Itbaria village.

Executive member of Bashundhara Shuvosangho Kawsarul Alam chaired the event while Principal Md Forkan Kabir was present as the chief guest.

In addition, Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal Joint Convener Md Jahidul Islam Mintu, Sadar union unit Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Md Rakibul Islam Babul, Sadar Union Parishad member Md Shah Alam Majhi, social activist Md Russel Hawlader, and Shuvosangho Executive member Mazharul Islam Moly were present among others.

In his speech, Principal Forkan Kabir said since Bashundhara Shuvosangho thinks about the people of the country, it is constantly working for the backward communities.

“In continuation of this, vegetable seeds have been distributed among the helpless poor women so that every family can meet their daily requirement of vegetables. If everyone in the society comes forward in this way, we will be able to ensure a self-reliant society and country as well,” he added.
