Despite all the speculations, all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is set to arrive in the country on Thursday.

A source from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed on Wednesday.

BCB announced a 15-member squad on Wednesday, including Shakib, for the first Test against South Africa, starting on 21 October, at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium which is set to be the 37-year-old's final match in the format.

Squad: Najmul Hossain Shanto (captain), Shadman Islam, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Zakir Hasan, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Liton Das, Jakir Ali, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Nayeem Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana.
