BFF announce SAFF Women’s Championship 2024 squad

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) on Monday announced a 23-member squad for the upcoming SAFF Women’s Championship 2024 which will get underway in Kathmandu on 17 October.

Bangladesh are the current champions of the competition. But this time they will be missing the services of some key players like Sirat Jahan Swapna, Akhi Khatun, Anai Mogini, Anuching Mogini.

However, several promising players such as Afeida Khandakar, Matsushima Sumaya, Airin Khatun, Kohati Kishku, Munki Akhter, Shaheda Akter Ripa, Mosammat Yearzan, Mile Akter, and Mosammat Sagorika have stepped in to take the place of the experienced ones.
The team will depart for Nepal today.

The champions will kick off their Group A campaign with a match against Pakistan on 20 October. They will play their second and final group game against India on 23 October.
