Bashundhara Shuvosangho has distributed clothes among people of the Harijan community in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh on the occasion of Durga Puja.

Members of the organisation’s Gouripur unit gave clothes to eight Harijans at a programme held at Kali Mandir in the municipality area on Sunday afternoon.

Krishna, Gopal, Milon, Munna, Sagar, Chandip, Rangila, and Sajal Shil expressed gratitude and happiness as they got clothes as gifts for the first time during the festival.

Sajal Shil, leader of the community, said, “This is the first time that someone has gifted us on the occasion of Durga Puja. We are very happy. Thanks to Bashundhara Shuvosangho.”

Rangila said, “I am very surprised at getting clothes. Why did they [Bashundhara Shuvosangho] make us so happy?”

Gouripur Bashundhara Shuvosangho President Shankar Ghosh Pilu, General Secretary Harun Mia, and Shuvosangho members Mir Akter, Zarin Tasnim, Rini Biswas, Nayeem Mia, Humayun Ahmed, Shakil Mia, and Ahad Mia, also Bangladesh Rover Scouts members, were present at the event.
