Jamaat Inaugurates Islamic Library in Bhasantek

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami inaugurated an Islamic library at Bhasantek in the capital intending to foster a more educated and united nation on Sunday. 

The event was led by Jamaat’s Dhaka North City Unit Ameer, Mohammad Selim Uddin, who emphasised the importance of libraries in shaping a knowledgeable civil society. 

He called for unity to protect the nation’s independence, sovereignty, and values rooted in Islam. Selim Uddin also urged people of all beliefs to visit the library and enrich themselves through reading.

The programme was presided over by BRP Welfare Council’s Chief Adviser Dr Ahasan Habib, with notable figures such as Labor Welfare Federation Vice President Lashkar Muhammad Taslim and Jamaat members in attendance.

Selim Uddin reiterated Jamaat’s commitment to establishing a country built on democratic values and Quranic principles. He stressed the need for collective efforts to ensure the sacrifices of past martyrs are not in vain and to safeguard Bangladesh’s integrity.
