Man who fired at protesters in Sirajganj arrested

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a man who openly fired at students during the anti-discrimination student movement in Sirajganj, from Cox's Bazar beach area last night.
The arrestee was identified as Abu Musa, 42, son of late Sanowar Hossain, resident of Dattabari Ward no-8 in Sirajganj Pourasabha.
Musa opened fire indiscriminately on students and masses during the anti-discrimination movement on 4 August. He is considered to be the main cadre of former lawmaker of Sirajganj-2 Jannat Ara Henry.
Additional Superintendent of Police Md Abul Kalam Chowdhury, senior assistant director (law and media) of Rab-15, confirmed that Musa was arrested in a raid at Kolatoli point last night.
He is accused of three murder cases.
In a primary interrogation, Musa admitted that he fired on students and masses during the anti-discrimination student movement.
