The civic services which were delivered from ward offices will now be provided from zone offices of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).

DSCC and DNCC in a press release on Tuesday said the responsibility of councillors, including issuing nationality, death, birth, and marital status certificates, have been handed over to the zonal executive officers.

The decision was taken following the Local Government Ordinance, 2024.
