The much-hyped cartoon exhibition “Rebellion in Cartoons” (Cartoon Ey Bidroho) is now in New York. The 3-day show has been arranged at Rivertel in the city’s Jackson Heights, starting from Friday.

Bangladesh Cartoonist Association, Thikana and Earki jointly organised the show. Previously the exhibition was held from 16 to 30 August at Drik Gallery in Dhaka.

A diverse array of cartoons and graffiti that played an important role in Bangladesh’s anti-discrimination student protests are being showcased at the event.

“We got an unexpected response from the people in the “Rebellion in Cartoons” exhibition organised with some of the cartoons published on social media and news platforms during the July mass uprising. After Dhaka, the same exhibition is now going on for New York residents,” said the organiser.
The exhibition will continue till 9:00pm today (local time).
