Members of joint forces comprising the army, police, and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested 35 people and seized arms and drugs in a drive at Geneva Camp in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur area on Sunday.

They raided the area from 5am to 8am and apprehended suspected drug peddler “Pichchi Raza” along with other criminal suspects, read a press release of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

During the joint drive, they seized one pistol, one revolver, 20 bullets, 53 petrol bombs, sharp weapons including knives and machetes, and 8.5kg cannabis among others, it said.

Legal action was underway against the arrested individuals.
