Md Saiful Islam, additional secretary of the Organization and Law Wing at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, has been made director general (DG) of the Islamic Foundation.

An office order in this regard was issued by the ministry on Monday.

According to the order, Saiful Islam will hold the position in addition to his current duties until the new director general joins.

Meanwhile, Md Bashirul Alam, the former DG of the foundation, has been transferred to the Ministry of Public Administration.
