The Ministry of Commerce has appointed Md Sayed Ali, deputy secretary of the Central Digital Commerce Cell, as the administrator of the e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (E-CAB).

This decision was made under Section 17 of the Trade Organizations Act, 2022, according to an order signed by Additional Secretary Naznin Kauser Chowdhury.

The administrator is tasked with overseeing the process of holding a fair and transparent election within 120 days to hand over the responsibilities to the newly elected committee and inform the ministry accordingly.
