Senior journalist and Bangladesh Protidin’s Senior Sub-editor Mojibur Rahman Chowdhury passed away on Thursday at the age of 62.

He breathed his last at BIRDEM Hospital at Shahbagh in the capital. 

Mojibur Rahman was the president of Rajshahi Division Journalists’ Association.

He was a member of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ), and an executive member of Bangladesh Labour Rights Journalists Forum.

He was born at Boraigram in Natore.  He left behind his wife, two children and a host of relatives to mourn his death.

His first Namaz-e-Janaza was offered on the Bangladesh Protidin premises and the second at Maniknagar Pukur Par Jame Mosque.

He was buried at the Mugda Graveyard in the capital.

The Rajshahi Division Journalists’ Association and Bangladesh Labour Rights Journalists Forum expressed grief over the death.
