Legal action against Taqsem A. Khan, managing director of Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA), and his close aides will be taken for their all-out indulgence in corruption and misdeeds.
AF Hassan Arif, adviser to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, told reporters while addressing a press conference at his ministry office in Dhaka on Thursday.
“Taqsem A. Khan established a syndicate corruption by repeatedly extending his tenure over the last 12 years. His corrupt practices, and even his appearance, have become widely known to the public,” he said.
The syndicate created by Taqsem within the WASA is still active, with most members now in hiding, he said adding that warned that action must be taken against them.
