Authorities have indefinitely shut three newspapers owned by Nayeemul Islam Khan, press secretary to ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina.

The offices of the newspapers – Amader Notun Somoy (Our New Time), Dainik Amader Aurthonitee (Daily Our Economy) and Daily Our Time – came under mob attack on Monday night (5 August) hours after Sheikh Hasina fled the country, said Saleh Biplob, executive editor of Amader Notun Somoy, on Friday.
