Brigadier General Hasan Nasir, in a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, claimed that the masterminds behind the killings, disappearances, and the 'Aynaghor' hostage crisis remain active within the Bangladesh Army.
These individuals could create further untoward situations in the country, he warned while addressing a press conference in Dhaka Reporters' Unity on Tuesday afternoon.
Brig Gen Nasir urged Chief of Army Staff General Wakar-Uz-Zaman to take immediate steps to neutralize these masterminds.
"The army officers involved in disappearances, killings, and hostage activities are still in the army. The army's inaction across the country is paving the way for instability, according to a plan to regain control," he stated.
He also demanded the immediate release of all hostages and called for a more active role of the Bangladesh Army nationwide. This press conference follows the recent release of former army Brigadier General Abdullahil Aman Azmi and Barrister Ahmad Bin Quasem Arman from the notorious 'Aynaghor' facility.

Families of political prisoners, who were secretly jailed during the rule of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, have been gathering in front of DGFI headquarters, awaiting news of their relatives. The release of Azmi and Arman has sparked hope among these families, who continue to demand justice and transparency regarding enforced disappearances.
