Two burnt to death as MP’s house torched in Sirajganj

Miscreants attacked and set fire to the residence of Awami League lawmaker Jannat Ara Henry in Sirajganj on Sunday, leaving two people burnt alive.
One of the victims was identified as Shahin, an activist of the Bangladesh Chhatra League. He was a resident of the Janpur area in the town.
Henry, the lawmaker from the Sirajganj-2 constituency, confirmed the matter.
Locals said miscreants torched the house around 3pm. As the fire was tamed around 9pm, relatives of the MP found two charred bodies, including of Shahin, at the house.
In Sirajganj, at least 26 people, including 13 policemen, were killed and many others injured in violence on Sunday, the first day of the non-cooperation movement.
