Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials on Saturday said they have cancelled their scheduled practice session of Tigers due to unavoidable reasons.

The opening day’s preparation of Bangladesh’s probable Test squad for the upcoming Pakistan tour was disrupted due to rain on Saturday while they were slated to start their skill training on Sunday.

“We are cancelling our 4 August practice,” a BCB official said without elaborating.

Meanwhile, students called for a non-cooperation movement from Sunday.

The Tigers are expected to fly to Pakistan on 17 August while the first Test of the series, which is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle, is slated to take place from 21-25 August in Rawalpindi. Karachi will host the second Test from 30 August-3 September.

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) put on hold all the games of Bashundhara Group Senior Division Football League on Sunday.
