Jamal Bhuiyan, the captain of Bangladesh national football team, has said that he supports the ongoing student movement.

“I saw a lot of infrastructures being destroyed, burnt and many (people) have been hurt and killed in all these (incidents). Everyone will support logical protests and movements. But we have to make sure that neither anyone destroys the assets nor hurt any people of the country because this is our country.  However, we are with the students and always will be,” Jamal said in a video posted on his official Facebook page on Thursday.

Later, the Bangladesh captain posted another video and said, “I want a united Bangladesh, violence is not the answer, violence is not good for anything, and violence only creates more violence.

“The answer should be, those who are involved should come together and discuss the best possible way to solve this ongoing matter.”
