Today marks the birthday of noted television, stage and film actress Aruna Biswas.

Aruna Biswas started her acting career with the play “Tin Paisar Pala” in 1984. Her-acted first tele-drama is “Ekhane Jibon” produced by Zia Ansari. She then acted in the film “Chapa Dangar Bou” opposite of Bappa Raj directed by Nayak Raj Razzak.

She has also directed many TV dramas, including “Onnorokomer Lojja”, “Dolonchampa”, “Boner Papiya”, “Dristhtidaan”, “Shure Eka Chobi” and “Boro Didi”.

Aruna-directed debut film “Oshombhob” was released in theatre in November last year. Actors Abul Hayat, Jotsna Biswas, Khailur Rahman Kaderi, Shatabdi Wadud, Shahed Sharif Khan, Shagota, Shohana Shaba, and others played different roles in the project.
