Bangladeshi students studying at US universities stood in support of the quota reform protesters and criticized the government’s high-handed approach to them.

The Bangladeshi students from Michigan State University, Aubern University, Texas Tech University, Texas A&M University, University of Illinois at Chicago and University of Delaware expressed solidarity with protesters.

Bangladeshi students at Michigan State University organised a human chain to protest the attacks on students advocating for quota reform across Bangladesh.

The demonstration took place at 7:00 PM local time on Tuesday (16 July) in front of the university's Skandalaris Football Center.

The event was organised by the Bangladesh Student Association (BSU), a group of Bangladeshi students at Michigan State University.

This information was provided in a press release by the organisation's president Mosaddek Syed.

Students from various universities in Bangladesh participated in the human chain. They carried placards with their demands and the national flag, calling for logical reform of the quota system and a fair investigation and prosecution of the attacks on protesting students.
