Students demanding reformation in the quota system in government jobs attacked Dhaka University Assistant Proctor Prof Abdul Muhit in the Central Shaheed Minar area Tuesday afternoon.

The incident took place around 3:15pm when he went there to patrol the area.

Later, a proctorial team rescued and took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, our correspondent reported.
