Students of Barendra University in Rajshahi have put up a blockade on the Rajshahi-Dhaka highway on Tuesday,  demanding reform in the quota system.

They took position on the highway in front of the main gate of the university around 12 pm that halted traffic on both sides, reports our correspondent from the spot.

Instead of using the Amchattar-Belpukur road, many vehicles were seen travelling via the Biman Chattar road.

Barendra University students are chanting various anti-quota slogans and  demanding punishment for the attacks by Chhatra League and police on students at Dhaka University and other places.
