Gold price inflates by Tk1,190 per bhori
The new tariffs will come into effect on Monday

Jewellers have inflated the gold price by Tk1,190 to Tk1,20,080 per bhori on the market in Bangladesh amid a price hike of soft yellow malleable ductile.
The standing committee on pricing and price monitoring of the Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) made the decision at a meeting on Sunday.
The new tariffs will come into effect on Monday, read a press release signed by the standing committee chairman, Masudur Rahman.
According to the BAJUS, the price of 22-carat gold will be Tk10,295 per gram, while 21-carat Tk9,827 per gram.
The price of 18-carat gold has been fixed at Tk8,423 a gram, while that of traditional gold at Tk6,964 a gram.
The price of silver remained unchanged with 22-carat Tk180 per gram, 21-carat Tk172, 18-carat Tk147, and traditional one Tk110 per gram.
