JCI Bangladesh observes International Human Duties Day

JCI Bangladesh has observed International Human Duties Day through a discussion titled “Embracing human duties: building a responsible society”.
Transparency International Bangladesh Executive Director Dr Iftekharuzzaman was the guest of honour while JCI Bangladesh President Imran Kadir chaired over the discussion on a virtual platform on Wednesday, read a press release.
Suchana Foundation Chairperson Dr Muzharul Mannan, UNDP Bangladesh Head of Communications Abdul Quayyum, media personality Abdun Noor Tushar, JAAGO Foundation founder Korvi Rakshand Dhurbo, Dr Tania Haque, lawyer Peya Jannatul were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the event, Dr Iftekharuzzaman said, “The citizens should not forget the corresponding duties we owe to each other in the pursuit of our rights.
“This day reminds us that our actions have a profound impact on the well-being of society as a whole," he said.
The discussion highlighted the essential role of human duties in fostering social cohesion and community development.
Imran Kadir called upon the participants to recognise and uphold their responsibilities in an inclusive society. “It is only by balancing our rights with our duties that we can build a just and equitable world.”
JCI Bangladesh's initiative to establish 10 July as International Human Duties Day was widely supported by the participants, who expressed their commitment to advocating for global recognition of this important day.
JCI Bangladesh is affiliated with an international platform comprising active citizens aged 18-40 who work together to create a positive impact in their respective communities.
