Students enforcing countrywide blockades against the “discriminatory” quotas in public service recruitment would announce their next course of actions at 7pm Wednesday at Shahbagh intersection in the capital.

Students from different spots have already started moving towards the intersection.

As of 5.30pm, blockades remained at many points in the capital.

Earlier, the students had decided they would continue their movement despite the Appellate Division imposing a status quo order on a High Court verdict reinstating 56% quotas in government job recruitment. The quotas were abolished for first-class and second-class jobs on a government order in October 2018.
