Speakers at a workshop tiltled 'Promoting Integrity in Primary Education' have emphasised the importance of instilling good moral values in children.

At the event organised by Arpon-Dorpon Memorial Foundation at the Officers Club in the capital on Saturday, they (speakers) highlighted that despite the country's economic progress, societal values have significantly eroded. They emphasised the importance of cultivating honesty and an anti-corruption mindset from an early age.

Rumana Ali, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education, attended the event as the chief guest.

Economist Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, former Chief Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office Md Abdul Karim, fiction writer and former joint secretary Afroza Parveen, Prof Sharmina Parveen, Chairman of Arpon-Dorpon Foundation, were present on the occaassion, among others.
