Bangladesh envoy calls on Mauritius foreign affairs minister

High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Mauritius Zokey Ahad paid a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration, and International Trade of the Republic of Mauritius Maneesh Gobin at the latter's office today.
First Secretary (Political) and HoC Md Jahangir Alam, First Secretary (Labour) Md Asaduzzaman, and senior officials from the Mauritius side were also present during the meeting.
At the meeting, a number of issues concerning the common interests of both countries were highlighted.
The minister warmly welcomed the Bangladesh high commissioner at his place, and both expressed their deep satisfaction over the excellent bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Mauritius.
The high commissioner extended his sincere thanks to the foreign affairs minister for receiving him at his office.
They discussed issues of mutual interest, including exchanges of high-level visits, business delegation, visa facilitation, trade and commerce, investment, education, labour issues, and regular migration, etc.
They also stressed the need for strengthening bilateral relations in an extremely cordial atmosphere.
Maneesh Gobin assured the high commissioner to work closely with the Bangladesh High Commission to finalise the pending MoUs and agreements.
