Six Indian players in ICC World T20 team, three from Afghanistan

Six players from the title-winning Indian team have been named in the International Cricket Council men's T20 World Cup 2024 team of the tournament.

The team also consists of three players from Afghanistan and one each from the West Indies and Australia.

The team members are: Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya (all from India), Rashid Khan, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Fazalhaq Faroqi (all from Afghanistan), Nicholas Pooran (West Indies) and Marcus Stoinis (Australia).

India beat South Africa by seven runs in the final of the competition in Barbados last Saturday to take their second T20 World Cup trophy.
