The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations will commence across the country today, with 1,450,790 students from nine general education boards, the madrasah board, and the technical board expected to sit for the exams from 9,463 educational institutions at 2,275 centres.

Among the total examinees, 1,128,281 will appear from the nine general boards, 88,076 from the madrasah board, and 234,433 from the technical board. All coaching centres have been instructed to remain closed from 29 June until 11 August.

Last year, a total of 1,359,342 students sat for the examinations from all boards. Additionally, 281 students will sit for the examinations from eight overseas centres.

According to the schedule, HSC written exams will continue until 11 August, and practical exams will be held from 12 August to 21 August. Examinations under the Technical Board will continue until 18 July, with their practical exams beginning on 19 July and continuing until 4 August.

The Quick Response Team (QRT) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) will be on standby to assist the examinees during their Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Additional Commissioner (Traffic) Md Munibur Rahman shared this information at a press conference on the occasion of the HSC and equivalent exams at the DMP Media Centre on Thursday.

All examinees have been asked to enter the exam centres 30 minutes before the examinations start, and the question paper code will be communicated to the concerned parties via SMS 25 minutes before the exams begin.

No one will be allowed to enter the exam centres with mobile phones, except the in-charges of the exam centres, who are permitted to carry a mobile phone. Moreover, only examinees, centre invigilators, teams from the ministry, teams from the boards, local administration and upazila administration teams, and security personnel will be allowed in the exam centres.
