Mohd Safwan Choudhury was re-elected as Vice Chairman of Bank Asia PLC at the meeting of the Board of Directors held on 23 June 2024.
 
Choudhury is an eminent industrialist in Bangladesh. He is a former president of the Sylhet Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
 
He is also the managing director of M Ahmed Tea and Lands Company Limited, Phulbari Tea Estates Limited, M Ahmed Cold Storage Limited, Premier Dyeing and Calendaring Limited and M Ahmed Food and Spices Limited.
 
In addition, he is the president of FIVDB, an NGO that provides primary education to underprivileged children. He also served as the chairman of the Bangladesh Tea Association.
