Two people were killed in a collision between a human hauler and a car in Tangail's Madhupur on Friday.

Six others were injured in the accident, said Molla Azizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Madhupur Police Station.

The identities of the deceased couldn't be ascertained immediately.

OC Azizur Rahman said that the private car was heading towards Tangail from Madhupur in the morning.

Around 9:30 am, the private car collided with the human hauler coming from the opposite direction in Malauri area and the car caught fire.

A passenger of the human hauler died on the spot and seven others from both vehicles sustained injuries.

They were taken to Madhupur Upazila Health Complex. Later, another died on the way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, added the OC
