The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has successfully completed the removal of all sacrificial animal waste on the second day of Eid-ul-Azha.

According to a report of the DNCC Waste Management Department, a total of 4,009 tonnes of waste was removed in 927 trips by 5pm on Tuesday, read a press release.

The city corporation claimed to remove all sacrificial animal waste from its wards within six hours on the day of Eid-ul-Azha, celebrated on Monday. It started the waste removal operation at 2pm and completed the task by 8pm.

A total of 10,374 tonnes of waste was removed by conducting 2,101 trips on Eid day, the release read.
