Police have cordoned off a house suspected to be a militant hideout in Netrokona.

On Saturday (June 8) afternoon, speculation began about the deserted house in the Bhasapara area of Kailati union of Sadar upazila.

According to the police, the house belongs to one named Abdul Mannan. The militants were operating from rented houses in a secluded area of the village.

A foreign-made pistol, 17 rounds of ammunition and other incriminating materials were recovered from the site of the encounter, police said.
