Electricity sector gets Tk30,317cr in FY2024-25
The allocation in the sector was Tk 34,829 crore in the previous budget, says finance minister

Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali on Thursday proposed an allocation of Tk 30,317 crore for generating electricity in the national budget for the fiscal year 2024-2025.
However, the allocation in the sector was Tk 34,829 crore in the previous budget, said the finance minister.
The finance minister came up with the proposal while unveiling the National Budget for FY 2024-25 at the Jatiya Sangsad on Thursday.
