Holders Bangladesh Ansar and VDP made a winning start in the 35th National Women’s Handball Competition 2023 after beating Naogaon District Sports Association by 35-7 goals at the Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium on Monday.

In the day’s matches, Narail beat Habiganj by 20-1 goals, Jamalpur beat Thakurgaon by 30-5 goals, Madaripur beat Bagerhat by 21-0 goals, Jashore beat Rangpur by 32-17 goals and Dhaka beat Bogura by 38-7 goals.

This year, a total of 23 teams from services and DSAs are taking part in this national meet.
