The Kolkata police have recovered likely parts of MP Azim’s corpse in a septic tank of Sanjeeva Gardens in the West Bengal city.

The parts weigh around 3-4kg, a relative of one of the workers engaged in lifting the flesh told reporters.

Earlier, a source of Bangladesh Police Detective Branch (DB) had said quoting “butcher Jihad” the parts of MP Azim dumped in the commode of the flat he was murdered in weighed 4 kilograms.

However, DB has neither confirmed nor denied that the body parts belonged to MP Azim. They are awaiting DNA tests to confirm the matter.
