Globally renowned American corporate giants like Amazon, Chevron and Boeing are eager to invest in Bangladesh, and the government is working to remove all unwarranted hindrances for them, State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu said Tuesday.

The state minister made the remarks at a press briefing following a meeting with senior officials from these companies at the Bangladesh Secretariat in the capital.

Among the interested US companies, Amazon wants access to central bonded warehouses to enjoy tax benefits, the state minister said.

The facility could potentially take Bangladesh products and raw materials to international markets through Amazon e-commerce system.
