Theatre troupe Theatre Factory will stage its acclaimed production ‘Asharashya Pratham Dibashey’ at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) this evening.

The play has been written by Mohon Rakesh, translated by Angshuman Bhowmik and directed by Alok Basu.

This drama revolves around the touching events of poet Kalidas and Mallika’s life.  Kalidas lives in a Himalayan village and refuses to be anywhere else.

The king becomes impressed after reading Kalidas’ works. He makes Kalida his son in law.

After Kalidas becomes the ruler of the kingdom, he decides to visit his village again. He travels to the village and finds that a lot has changed over the years. He tries to pen poems again but fails to find suitable words. Thus, the story of the play continues…
