Travel ban on 4 sons of ex-minister Nurul Islam BSc

A Chattogram court on Sunday issued a ban on four sons of former expatriates’ affairs minister Nurul Islam BSc from travelling abroad in a case filed for bank loan defaulting.
Chattogram Artha Rin Adalat Judge Mujahidur Rahman issued the order.
The accused were identified as Mujibur Rahman, Jahidul Islam, Kamrul Islam and Wahidul Islam.
Of them, Mujibur is the managing director of Sanowara Dairy Foods Limited and Unilac Sanowara (BD) Limited while the rest are directors of the companies.
Bench Assistant of the court Rezaul Karim said the court issued the order following a petition submitted by the plaintiff in a case filed for defaulting loan of around Tk30.53 crore of Uttara Bank.
The court also instructed to send the copy of the order to the special superintendent of police (Immigration) of Special Branch (SB) so that the accused cannot leave the country without permission from the court, said Rezaul.
