Masud stresses power sector co-op, connectivity with India

Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen has emphasised power sector cooperation and connectivity with India as he held a constructive discussion with his Indian counterpart Vinay Mohan Kwatra.
During the meeting in Dhaka, Masud also laid stress on enhancing Bangladesh’s exports to India, cooperation in regional and international platforms, and support for Rohingya repatriation, read a press release.
The discussion focused on bilateral issues, regional cooperation, and avenues for future collaboration.
Both sides expressed optimism about the prospects for furthering bilateral cooperation to address shared challenges and capitalise on emerging opportunities.
They also discussed cooperation in the areas of green energy, digital economy, technology space, etc.
The Indian foreign secretary arrived in Dhaka on Wednesday evening on a two-day official visit to “finalise the schedule of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s upcoming India visit.”
On Thursday morning, Vinay Kwatra paid a courtesy call on the prime minister at Ganabhaban in the capital. He left Dhaka this afternoon by a special flight.
