DU launches special classroom for dancing with Indian assistance

Dhaka University (DU) today launched a special classroom with Indian High Commission assistance for its newly established Dance Department.

 

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique and Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Pankaj Saran jointly opened the classroom at Room No 1033 of the Arts Building also joined by Arts faculty dean Professor Dr M Akhtaruzzaman as the special guest, BSS reports.

 

"India is our historically genuine friend and it offered hands in our (DU) different development initiatives," the vice chancellor told the function.

 

He thanked the Indian envoy for the assistance in decorating the special classroom and expressed the hope that the Indian assistance for the premier university would continue in the future as well.

 

The Indian envoy said arts and culture was a major area of bilateral cooperation and Indian assistance would continue for the developments in Bangladesh's cultural sectors.
