The tribunal has set 9 May to announce the verdict in a case against nine people, including businessman Aziz Mohammad Bhai, in the murder of actor Sohail Chowdhury.

On Monday, Dhaka Speedy Trial Tribunal-2 Judge Arunabh Chakraborty fixed the date. Ten witnesses testified in the court in the case.

On 17 December 1998, Sohail Chowdhury was shot dead in the city’s Banani area. His brother Touhidul Islam Chowdhury filed the case at Gulshan Police Station.
