# Driver Kamal and cleaner Akther were absent from duty 

# Cleaner Jilani allowed his cousin to operate DSCC garbage vehicle  

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) on Monday terminated a driver and two cleaners over the killing of a schoolboy at Mugdha by a garbage truck.  

On charge of handing over the duty of operating garbage to an outsider, driver Md Kamal and two cleaners Akther Hossain and Abdul Quader Jilani Babu have been terminated from service. 

As per the officer's directive, they were dismissed under Section 64(2) of the DSCC Service Rules 2019.

According to the section of the rules, terminated employee Kamal will only get 90 days' salary and no other service benefit. In contrast, Master roll workers Akther and Jilani will not draw any salary either.

On 25 April, DSCC garbage vehicle Dhaka Metro Sha-11-4281 pushed Md Mahin (14) when it was passing Siam Tower at Madinabag Kacha Bazar in the Mugdha area around 9:45 pm. Later, he was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where he was declared dead by duty doctors. 

DSCC office order said that Kamal Hossain was supposed to drive the vehicle and Akther and Jilani were supposed to be on duty with him but during the accident, Kamal and Akther were absent while Jilani allowed his cousin Rubel to drive the vehicle.
