Govt reappoints Professor Shibli as BSEC chairman
On 4 April, PM Sheikh Hasina approved the recommendation for Shibli's reappointment

The finance ministry issued a notification on Sunday announcing the reappointment of Professor Shibli Rubayat as the chairman of BSEC for another four-year term starting 17 May, a day after completion of his first four-year tenure.
The Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance issued the notification under the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Act, 1993.
On 4 April, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina approved the ministry's recommendation for Shibli's reappointment.
Shibli was appointed chairman of the BSEC for the first time on 17 May 2020. His tenure expires on 16 May this year.
Shibli is a former dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka, and is now a professor at the faculty’s Department of Banking and Insurance.
