Prof Anu Muhammad under observation at DMCH following Surgery

Anu Muhammad, a retired professor of economics at Jahangirnagar University, has been operated on his toes after he fell off a moving train. He is currently under observation at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).
Prof Anu Muhammad, a former member secretary of the National Committee to Protect Oil, Gas, Mineral Resources and Power and Ports and a vocal voice on various issues related to national interest, was returning to Dhaka by train on Sunday after attending a meeting in Dinajpur.
Anu Muhammad is undergoing treatment at the post-operative ward of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
According to physicians, Prof Anu Muhammad's toes were badly bruised. Finger tissue has been damaged. He is being treated with utmost care.
Prof Anu Muhammad, while undergoing treatment, told journalist that he had undergone a surgery on his finger. He is now being monitored by doctors.
Bidhan Sarkar, head of the burn and plastic surgery unit at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), informed media that the skin of Prof Anu Muhammad's toe had been cut off. His fingers are out. But his fingers were not cut off.
