Joint security forces arrested two more members of the separatist KNF group from Ruma upazila, Bandarban on Monday, taking the total number of detainees to 12 since launching a special drive on Sunday morning.

Security forces seized seven local firearms, 20 rounds of ammunition, a laptop, uniforms and boots during the drive, the ISPR said in a statement.

KNF members raided three banks in Bandarban on 2 and 3 April snatching weapons from on-duty security personnel and sparking panic in Ruma and Thanchi upazilas of the district.

With a view to recovering the robbed firearms and arrest members of the group security forces incorporating members from police, RAB, army and more are conducting combing operations in the district since the bank heists.
